Men’s hair q&A

Can I make my hair
grow faster?

There are a number of products that can be used to stimulate hair growth. Evidence published in a top research journal says the scent of sandalwood on olfactory receptor OR2AT4 (on the outer layer of your hair) has been found to decrease cell death and enhance hair growth. Our Oxford products have sandalwood as a key scent.

What hairstyle should I have?

That’s a tough one. Choosing a hairstyle is difficult. The first thing to consider is the shape of your head. The second thing is how your hair naturally grows. Your local barber or hairdresser should be able to help you out in testing new looks. Just remember, changing may take more than one haircut.

What hair product should I use?

The product you use depends on the length of your hair, the preferred structure of product, the desired shine, and the type of style you are seeking. We’ve got more information here: Finding the Right Product.

beard q&A

How do I stop an itchy beard?

Itchy beards can be caused by dry skin, dry hair, dead skin, and the weather. The best way to reduce or stop an itchy beard is by washing your face regularly, add in some exfoliating, and finish with beard oil and beard balm.

What’s the difference between beard balm and beard oil?

Beard oils are designed to be worn in the evening to nourish and soften a beard. Oils often leave a light shine that will disappear as the oil is absorbed. Our beard oils are scented to stimulate growth and promote healthier hair and skin.

Beard balms are best to be worn in the morning to condition and style a beard. Ours have a lighter scent to avoid any conflict with your everyday cologne or deodorant .

What is beardruff?

Beardruff (or beard dandruff) is flaky dry skin that will typically fall off with some rubbing or scratching. Someone with serious beardruff is likely to see small flakes of skin fall when they scratch their beard. To treat it, give your beard a good wash (not with a dandruff shampoo or conditioner designed for hair), exfoliate, and regularly use beard oil and beard balm.
